The Importance of a Diverse & Inclusive Workforce

The Jacobs ESSSA Group is committed to having a diverse and inclusive work environment – one that welcomes and values the contributions of all of our employees. Jacobs takes pride in its highly skilled and talented employees, who are working on nationally significant programs and revolutionary research at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. Diversity of experience, skill, talent, and perspective nurtures our culture, where people’s strengths in the workplace builds morale and leads to creative solutions. Every day we are working to create an inclusive environment that drives innovation and provides mission-critical solutions to our customer.

 Why Choose Us?

The Jacobs ESSSA Group is a two-time winner of the Huntsville/Madison County Best Places to Work in 2008 and 2009. Jacobs has been the Prime Contractor on the Engineering, Science, and Technical Services (ESTS) contract at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Ala. since 1989. Jacobs subsequently won the Engineering and Science Services and Skills Augmentation (ESSSA) contract at MSFC in August 2012. Drawing on employee’s differences and viewpoints, we are able to develop better, more innovative services for our NASA customer. See why you should choose us!

 Diversity Initiatives

In building an inclusive and diverse company, Jacobs fosters diversity in many ways in order to strengthen and celebrate our different backgrounds, experiences, cultures, styles and talents. Current diversity initiatives include the Jacobs ESSSA Diversity Council, Professional Women’s Collaborative, Intern/Co-op Program, HBCU/MI Collaborative, Targeted Recruitment, Community Outreach and the Jacobs ESSSA Group Scholarship Program.

 Targeted Recruitment

Jacobs has an integral role in NASA’s vision to explore beyond Earth’s boundaries, supporting the launch vehicles and propulsion systems of the future. With many employers to choose from, we believe Jacobs and the teammate companies that make up the Jacobs ESSSA Group are the best. Our recruitment efforts help us search for dynamic individuals who can add their unique talents and experiences to our multidimensional team.

The Jacobs ESSSA Group is committed to improving the quality of life and enhancing the vitality of the communities in which we operate. Through our Outreach Programs, we provide support to causes reflecting employee and community interests by the means of employee volunteer efforts, company initiatives, and monetary donations.

Jacobs will fully fund two scholarships each at the University of Alabama-Huntsville and Alabama A&M in the areas of Engineering and Science as part of the company's Aerospace Industries Futures Program. These scholarships encourage enrollment in areas critical to future NASA / MSFC programs and help Jacobs fill the "talent pipeline" locally.
